How the maths works
Each line uses the same method as a single calculation.
- Add VAT: amount times 1.2 at 20%, or times 1.05 at 5%.
- Remove VAT: amount divided by 1.2 at 20%, or divided by 1.05 at 5%.
The totals row adds up the net, VAT and gross columns.
